Organization of Care in AD

Bridging the gaps

Around the world experiences

If there’s one thing that the COVID 19 pandemic has taught us, it is how deeply connected we all are and how important it is for us to collaborate and work together to find solutions to a common problem.

Atopic Dermatitis is a worldwide problem that has been increasing over the years, and there is a strong need for us to share our experiences to improve the management of this complex and intriguing disease.

In this meeting we had the privilege of sharing experiences with colleagues from Australia, UK, Japan, Switzerland, and South Africa.

The AD Patient Journey

The patient journey is a sequence of care events which a patient follows from the point of access into the health system, continuing towards diagnosis, care, education and prevention.

The journey is cyclical in nature with never-ending interactions between patient and the healthcare system. It can also be an internal journey of crisis, acceptance, and self-development.

We explored these concepts with colleagues and Atopic Dermatitis Organizations from all over the world.
