ISAD 2022

  • Centre Sheraton, Montreal, Canada (EDT timezone)

Dear Colleagues, Dear Friends!

We first want to very warmly thank and congratulate Pr. Kyu-Han Kim and his team for a great International Society of Atopic Dermatitis (ISAD), meeting which, in spite of the adverse conditions associated with the COVID -19 pandemic, held its promises of scientific exchanges of the highest quality convened in warm conviviality.

Our society ISAD, created by Georg Rajka, reunites health care providers, researchers and dedicated associations to expand and disseminate knowledge about the pathogenesis, the treatment of AD and to promote the holistic and personalized care of all patients suffering from it. As stated by our current president, Pr. Alain Taïeb, on the front page of the ISAD Society newsletter, this should be achieved with global incorporation of the various actors on the scene of AD, from the patients and their associations, to nurses, researchers, caregivers, health providers of various horizons, pharmacists and our partners from the pharmaceutical industry.

It is now a great honor and pleasure for us, Michele Ramien and I, to invite you all to the prestigious ISAD meeting to be held October 17th – 19th 2022 in Montreal, Canada.

Since the 1st meeting crafted by Georg Rajka 43 years ago in 1979, in Oslo, Norway, there have been 11 ISAD meetings, the first 4 of which were held in Norway. Thereafter, 5 ISAD meetings were held in Europe, 1 in Africa and 1 in Portland, Oregon. The 12th symposium in Montreal will be the second one to be held in North America and will inspire itself from decades of success and aim to achieve the same standards of quality.

In the months to come, the “Era of Emerging Therapies for AD”, which was the theme of the Seoul meeting, will continue to expand and the identification of biomarkers, their endotypes, comorbidities, treatment outcome and patients unmet needs will be further explored at the 12th Montreal ISAD 2022.

In October, Montreal and its surrounding regions will be bursting with magnificent fall colors and you could take this opportunity to spend an autumnal week-end in the Laurentians or Charlevoix or just stay around cosmopolitan, bilingual Montreal and enjoy its cultural and culinary charms.

Plan to be with us in Montreal, for the 12th ISAD meeting as we look forward to your participation and to host you!
